The ‘Level 5 Pistol/Rifle Combo Course’ will be offered during our 2021 training season to those students who have taken the ‘Level 4 Pistol/Rifle Combo Course.’

Class Information:

Students will start the day on the paper range for a brief weapons-handling review from previous courses, where the entry-level Operator Standards are used. As mastery is achieved, students will progress to the intermediate and, as applicable, advanced standards. Five increasingly challenging tiers of drills are available above Operator Standards. Once new drills are introduced, students will transition mid-morning to steel target shooting on multiple pistol/rifle ranges.

This course is designed to have flexibility in curriculum, and can be tailored to the overall student majority preference and proficiency.

Estimated Round Count:

Students need to bring a minimum of 350 pistol rounds and 400 rifle rounds for the course.  150 rounds of the rifle ammo can be .223 ball for the paper portion of the course and the other 300 rounds MUST be .223 frangible for the steel portion of the course.  We offer both types of ammo at our pro-shop. 

End of Class Objective:

This class is the highest level of weapons training offered to the citizen sector. A student can maintain a challenging curriculum even when enrolling multiple times. The new drills and steel ranges will be varying from class to class.

What to Bring:

Bring a rifle, rifle sling, 2 to 3 magazines, mag pouches, belt, ear protection, eye protection, and zero or low magnification rifle optic (4X or lower).  Variable power optics are just fine.  Chest rack or plate carrier optional.

We have a pro-shop at the Shaw Shooting range if equipment and ammunition is needed.  Additionally, if you forget or are unable to acquire some of the required equipment, such as belts, magazine pouches, etc., we can rent equipment out for $10.00 per day.  Pistol rentals are $35.00 per day, rifle rentals are $70 per day..
