Idaho enhanced concealed weapons permit course
AS PART OF THE PISTOL TRAINING CURRICULUM AT SHAW SHOOTING (Levels 1, 2 & 3 Pistol Courses), students are taught detailed firearms fundamentals which include SAFETY, work space, sight alignment, high ready presentations, stance, grip, slack out method, trigger press, trigger reset, trigger prep, single action, double action, grip pressure, loading, controlled recoil, and recoil management.
Once students can demonstrate proper and safe gun handling fundamentals, the live-fire portion will begin with shooting close-range paper targets to ensure accurate bullet impact awareness and correct shooting fundamentals.
The requirements for the Firearms Portion of the Idaho Enhanced Concealed Weapons Permit are satisfied by a student’s completion of any of the pistol courses offered at Shaw Shooting. Please let your instructor know you plan to apply for the ECWP so the proper application can be completed.
For completion of the second half of the ECWP application requirements, the Legal Instruction Portion, students will need to enroll in a separate course. See more information here.
